The Developmental Agricultural Association Begins Supporting Farmers and Providing Essential Agricultural Inputs

As part of its mission to sustain agricultural production, the Developmental Agricultural Association has launched a comprehensive support program, funded by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). The program aims to provide farmers with essential agricultural inputs, including fertilizers, pesticides, plastic covers (nylon), and seedlings, tailored to the specific needs of each farmer and their land.

The Association explained that farmers in the Gaza Strip are facing enormous challenges due to current conditions, which have led to the spread of various agricultural pests and significant crop losses. In response, the Association is working diligently to support farmers by providing pesticides to combat pests, fertilizers to improve soil fertility and restore productivity, and inputs that contribute to better crop yields to meet local market needs and strengthen food security.

The Association also emphasized that the supply process is accompanied by field visits and direct follow-up by its specialized teams, who provide agricultural guidance and ensure the optimal use of the inputs. In addition, the Association supports efforts to rehabilitate damaged lands, enabling farmers to replant and make better use of them.

Despite the severe challenges facing Gaza, the Association reaffirmed that supporting farmers will remain a top priority and a renewed commitment. It pledged to continue exerting every possible effort to stand by farmers, helping them protect their lands and livelihoods, and contributing to the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
